We had never met Loralie and Kevin before their big day, and we were so honored to be a part of their intimate destination wedding. They are such a rad couple and their family was awesome too! Kathryn of Dream a Little Dream Events did such a great job planning the wedding that even when we were hit with a little rain, everything went off without a hitch.  As always Natalie Bowen provided flowers that were simply stunning.  Loralie and Kevin got ready at Hotel Vitale and then we headed down to the ferry building for some wine and oysters at the Hog Island Osyter Company.  Later in the afternoon they had an amazing roof top ceremony at the Art Institute and we finished up the evening with an intimate dinner reception at Florio. Thank you again for letting us be a part of your big day! You guys rocked it!!!

We shot such an amazing wedding last summer at the Headlands Center for the Arts. Adrienne, the bride, was also the wedding planner for her big day. She did a knock-out job on crafting the vision for her wedding, and executing it to a T. We kept telling her all day, “You should TOTALLY do this for a living! You are GREAT at it.” Check out all of the amazing details that her and her mom put together! I also have to mention the flowers done by Chestnut & Vine in Berkeley and the delicious cupcakes by La Farine Bakery in Oakland.  We are so proud to have them as one of our featured weddings. Thank you for letting us be a part of your big day Adrienne and Jake!

Last summer we had the opportunity to shoot the wedding of an amazing couple, Jennifer and Erik. They are such a genuine and loving couple, and their wedding was sophisticated and fun. The amazing Traci Steuteville coordinated the whole event and let me tell you, she rocks! We absolutely loved getting a chance to work with her, and at the beautiful Domaine Chandon in Yountiville none the less. It was a perfect day and such a lovely and creative wedding.

Julie and Matt’s wedding was the first ever at the all new Yoshi’s Jazz Club in SF which is one of my new favorite spots for a wedding in San Francisco.  Seriously, the place was made for weddings.  Throw in working with my favorite videographers, Curtis and Travis of Curtis Nemetz Productions, and then Jon of Encarnacion Photography and Curtis as my second shooters and I had the dream team working with me. Cara was at home with our beautiful 3 week old daughter and while I really missed shooting with her, Jon and Curtis stepped it up and we didn’t miss a beat.  All of the printed details from the day were designed by Abbie of Passing Notes (See previous post for more details) and I was blown away with the quality.  For all couples out there looking for custom designed invitations, programs, and everything else, be sure to hire Abbie as her work is second to none. Matt owns a shoe store in Alameda, District, and the whole wedding had a shoe theme from their cake, invites, seat place holders and so on.  Julie’s dress by Junko Yoshioka was stunning and her jewelry by Renee Pawlee well, was stunning also, but my favorite thing even over Matt’s van’s was the cake.  I have never seen a cake that was even close to being as cool as this one by Debbie Does Cakes.  Enjoy all of the photos and you can view more photos here and you can view their engagement photos here.  Lastly, be sure to make it all the way to the bottom of the post where you can view their highlights video.

What a wonderful wedding! So full of love, family, culture and beauty. It was truly a wonderful day with such a laid back and easygoing couple. We shot at the jaw-dropping Nestldown.  Sarah was stunning in both outfits and the flowers by Lani Elizabeth were exquisite.  It was great to work with Liz of San Jose Wedding Consultants and Paul of Big Fun Disc Jockeys. What a wonderful day and celebration of two lovely people!

Hi. I’m Natalie, the newest addition to the Flory Photo team. For me, there’s nothing better in the world than a great love story—whether it’s a Jane Austen novel, a Beatles song, or the story of a couple and how their wedding day unfolds. I love everything about weddings: how head-over-heels-crazy-in-love two people can be, how much thought goes into even the tiniest details, that moment just after the big kiss, seeing everyone pull out their best moves on the dance floor, and so much more. I feel so lucky to be a part of a couple’s wedding day, documenting memories they’ll cherish for years to come.
