A little bit ago I had pleasure of photographing engagement pictures for the wonderful Julia + Eli! They are one of those sweet couples that just fit and I loved getting to know them better during the session. A few months ago, Joel and I met up with Julia + Eli to grab coffee and discuss their weddings plans. At that time Eli hadn’t ever heard of engagement shoots. So you better believe I was the happiest photographer when I realized that Eli not only went location scouting but had the whole session planned out. I really like this pair and I can’t wait to photograph their May wedding in Berkeley!

Derrick + Janie were married at the UC Botanical gardens and I just loved their wedding! The two high school sweethearts were so relaxed the whole day and I loved all of their personal DIY elements from their sunglasses to the cake.  My favorite of them all was Janie’s dress that her mom made.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post to hear what Derrick and Janie had to say about their wedding day and you can also head over to Ruffled where their wedding is featured today for more details. I had such a great time taking Widya and Renaldi’s engagment pics and really wish we would have been able to travel to shoot their wedding this summer in Jakarta as it sounded like it was going to be amazing. They met at UC Berkeley and so we thought it would be great to take pics there along with some of their favorite places in the area. Enjoy the pics!
